Feeding the family this Thanksgiving just got more affordable.

A survey from the Arizona Farm Bureau Federation found Thanksgiving dinner for a group of 10 now costs less than $40, the lowest it has been in more than a decade.

Arizona Farm Bureau spokeswoman Peggy Jo Goodfellow found a “price war” between supermarkets on turkeys.

“What really confirmed it to me was that same afternoon I got home and there was an ad from Albertson’s, and it said we’ll match any price of Fry’s or Bashas' on turkeys," Goodfellow said.

In addition to the price drop in turkey, the cost of stuffing and fresh sweet potatoes also fell. Fresh cranberries and pumpkin pie mix has remained about the same.
