Negotiators representing the governments of the United States, Mexico and Canada are taking a break from talks about commerce between the three countries. But negotiations over the North American Free Trade Agreement are reaching a critical point.

There seems to be an impasse over how many parts factories form each country put into cars manufactured in the region.

And that’s just one of several disagreements as negotiators race to wrap up before Mexico’s presidential elections and the mid-term elections here. To break it all down for us, we have Jorge Valencia from KJZZ's Mexico City bureau.
