EDITOR'S NOTE: KJZZ incorrectly reported that the founders of Backpage.com had been ordered to forfeit millions of dollars in assets after pleading guilty to money laundering.

That case involved Backpage.com and current CEO Carl Ferrer. Backpage.com was co-founded by Michael Lacey and James Larkin, who have pleaded not guilty to separate charges, and are scheduled to go on trial in 2020.
