Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey will be in Washington, D.C., on Monday night.

President Donald Trump is welcoming Ducey to the White House, as well as governors from New Mexico, Arkansas, Mississippi and South Carolina. Trump is set to host dinner with the Republican governors and, according to the White House, discuss the importance of secure borders, smart immigration policies and safe communities.

Last month Ducey said he supported President Trump's move to deploying National Guard troops to the border, saying that Washington has ignored the issue and that help was needed for public safety.

Just a few weeks ago, Ducey ate lunch with Vice President Mike Pence when Pence visited Arizona for a fundraiser.
