How ICE Has Evolved Since Its Creation

Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, has come under criticism recently for implementing the Trump Administration’s policy of separating parents from their kids when they cross the border illegally.

There’s also the issue of whether cities or states should cooperate with the agency. ICE was created in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and, to get a sense of where the agency has been, where it is and where it may be going, The Show was joined by Marjorie Zatz. She is a sociology professor at the University of California, and our discussion started with how different ICE is now than how it was envisioned in the early 2000s.
