Phoenix became the latest major city to show support of the LGBTQ community on its streets after two rainbow-painted crosswalks made their debut on Monday.

Phoenix City Council approved the installation of rainbow-painted crosswalks back in April. Phoenix Pride Community Foundation and One-N-Ten are funding the materials, installation and ongoing maintenance of the crosswalks.

The rainbow crosswalks are located at 7th and Glenrosa avenues, and at Central Avenue and Portland Street, which is near one.n.ten's youth community center.

Pedestrians and bicyclists are reminded to look both ways and obey traffic signals when using the newly repainted crossings.
