Attorney General Mark Brnovich announced that his office filed a consumer fraud lawsuit against a travel company and its CEO.

The suit alleges the company committed fraud against a group of high school students.

The lawsuit alleges Texas-based EB Worldwide charged the Cienega High School students more than $34,000 for a senior class trip to Disneyland and Universal Studios.

In a statement, the attorney general's office alleges the company failed to schedule any buses, leaving the students and their chaperones stranded in a parking lot on the day they were supposed to leave, without any explanation.

EB Worldwide had agreed to work with parents to find a resolution but more than a year later, there have been no refunds. The suit seeks consumer restitution, attorney’s fees and a fine of up to $10,000 for each violation for the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act.
