There is another community meeting Tuesday night to discuss the South Central Light Rail Extension.

The project, which would connect the light rail to downtown Phoenix and extend South to Baseline road, has been controversial. A June city council meeting on the issue lasted five hours.

Tuesday's meeting is one of  five to discuss differences between two and four-lane street designs.

Community group "4 Lanes or No Train" opposes the current plan, which calls for two lanes of traffic on Central Avenue. Other related issues include bike lanes, traffic flow and the economic impact to the South Phoenix community.

All meeting documents will be provided in Spanish, English and be published online. Valley Metro also said Spanish-speaking staff will be at the meetings.
