A Scottsdale rehab center is offering a limited number of beds to people suffering from addiction, and now, people being affected by the the southern California fires.

Malibu California has always been a hub for various rehabilitation facilities. The beautiful backdrop of the Pacific Ocean offers a relaxing setting for people hoping to change their lives for the better, but that backdrop is now a raging fire.

Scottsdale Recovery Center founder Chris Cohn said he hopes other rehab facilities follow in his footsteps and open their doors to those in need.

“If there (were) any clients that are without homes or without recovery or without rehab, we were happy to give them a full scholarship for our program here," Cohn said.

Cohn also said he is worried about patients battling sobriety who have lost their homes in the Woolsey Fire, which has prompted mandatory evacuations in the cities of Malibu and Calabasas. He said it can be extremely detrimental to a patient's health who is only a few days sober to go through such a traumatic event.
