Last week, the Phoenix City Council voted down a proposed water rate increase.

The plan called for an increase in Phoenix’s water rates by six percent, for infrastructure improvements, over the next two years.

Phoenix’s Water Services Director Kathryn Sorensen joined The Show to talk about why an increase is needed.
