The Arizona Attorney General’s Office has reached a settlement with an architect firm that did business with the Scottsdale Unified School District.

The Attorney General investigated the purchasing and contracting Scottsdale schools did for the construction of Hohokam Elementary School.

The settlement says the state alleges the principal of Hunt & Caraway architects violated the Arizona Procurement Code.

The firm denies that. Hunt & Caraway agreed to write off just over $105,000 in outstanding fees for its work on the school construction project.

This comes just after a former Scottsdale Unified chief financial officer was, separately, re-indicted on twelve felony charges of fraud and conflict of interest.
