FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- At the turn of the century Flagstaff began as a logging town complete with saloons and brothels.

Sitting on the edge of the Navajo Reservation along Route 66 many of its historic buildings still stand. So it has more than its share of ghost stories.

On this Halloween, we start our haunted tour of Flagstaff at the Hotel Monte Vista, built in the 1920s, where many a transcontinental traveler stayed as well as bank robbers and Hollywood starlets.

We invite you to travel to some spooky places in Northern Arizona by viewing the photos in the slideshow above and listening to the audio postcard.
