Gas prices continue to drop. The latest report from AAA shows the prices have hit a new low.

It’s been five years since regular gasoline was selling this cheap. It is officially below $2 per gallon. According to Sunday’s AAA report the average price in Arizona was just under $1.95 per gallon. That’s down ten cents from last week.

Many stations are showing prices as low as $1.75 in the metro Phoenix area.

Overall prices have dropped about $1.60 since the peak at the beginning of last summer.

The national average has also dropped although the prices across the country are not as low as Arizona fuel. The national average is a little more than $2.08 per gallon.
