 Mexico’s New Internal Security Law Divides Opinions
Mexico has a new law to facilitate its military’s actions against organized crime. However, its detractors fear the new law would allow the militarization of the country. On Thursday, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto signed the so-called Law of Internal Security but said he will wait for the Supreme Court’s rule determining its constitutionality before he enacts it.
