Jill Ryan joined KJZZ in 2020 as a morning reporter. She is currently a graduate student at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Communication. She is pursuing a master’s degree in investigative reporting. 

At ASU, she currently writes for the Knight-Cronkite News Lab, a website that publishes stories about new innovations in television news and the journalists and meteorologists behind those outlets. 

During her undergrad, at Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York, she interned for NPR-affiliate WSHU Public Radio and then became a news fellow for her entire senior year. She fell in love with radio, and in her spare time she enjoys listening to podcasts like RadioLab, the Hidden Brain and Serial.
