'Dancing With The Sun City Stars' Pairs Professional Dancers With Sun City Residents

The television show "Dancing with the Stars" pairs professional dancers with people you know — actors, athletes, even an astronaut. But fame isn’t a requirement to be a part of "Dancing with the Sun City Stars."
You don’t even need to know how to dance.
The competition was opened up to all 44,000 residents of Sun City and six were drawn from a hat. These six contestants had the opportunity to rehearse a dance for one week with professional dancers from the Utah Ballroom Dance Company.
Ben Roloff and Dani Dunmire are stepping to the tune of "Jailhouse Rock."
Roloff is a retired football coach and now Dunmire is his dancing coach.
"And it’s awesome it, you know, challenges me as a teacher to figure out what makes them tick and how they’re gonna learn the steps," Dunmire said.
And if you think you can’t teach a retiree new tricks, well then you haven’t seen Roloff flip Dunmire over in the middle of their routine.
It looks pretty cool.
"Well, looks are deceiving," Roloff said.
Other contestants have learned to mambo, shimmy, two-step and even act.
Like in the "Pink Panther" combo where a detective dances his way into handcuffs and the criminal gets away with the cash.
Roloff said when it all comes to an end tonight, he’ll be feeling mixed emotions. One of those will be relief that he made it through.
"It’s been a great week, but it’ll also be nice to get back to golf and some of the, the usual senior retirement activities," he said.
Yep, it’s back to the usual next week for these stars, but maybe helping Dunmire with her back flip will help Roloff with his back swing.
