Artificial intelligence has already arrived when it comes to advanced technology, with millions of Americans already worried to some extent that their jobs are in danger.

AI has been used for years in defense, with unmanned aerial vehicles, better known as drones. But an exploration of how AI could affect our spiritual lives hasn’t been nearly as common a part of the conversation.

Andrew Hudson, a speculative science fiction writer and graduate researcher at Arizona State University, recently wrote a short story about AI and religion. It’s called "A Priest, A Rabbi and a Robot Walk Into a Bar."

The story begins with trying to figure out how to keep a chatbot from absorbing anti-Semitic comments and spewing them out.
