Legalized sports betting is less than a year old in Arizona, but even in that short time, our state has proven to be fertile ground for the industry.

With plenty of apps to choose from and sports books popping up in not only casinos, but in stadiums, it should come as no surprise that the state set a betting record in March. How much was wagered? A cool $692 million.

The Show spoke with Scott Brooks, director of research at Arizona State University’s Global Sport Institute, to put it all into perspective.
