Despite all the attributes of being the country’s fifth largest metropolis, what Phoenix is really known for is the heat. The Show series Hot Town explores the Valley's hotness in all its forms.

Maricopa County Public Health has numbers showing that 29% of indoor deaths happened in manufactured housing — even though they constitute only about 5% of the county’s housing units.

Patricia Solis of Arizona State University and Mark Kear of the University of Arizona have looked into how vulnerable populations are affected by heat, and how manufactured and mobile housing play into that.

The Show spoke with them about why it was vital to look at manufactured and mobile housing.
