Cochise County reassures state that it intends to follow the law in ballot counting

It’s been less than a week since the Cochise County Board of Supervisors said they would order a full hand count of the county’s ballots after election day — despite warnings that it’s against state law.

Now, the county is reassuring the state that it intends to follow state law. But just how they plan to do that and comply with state law remains unclear.
