There have been efforts in some states across the country, including Arizona, to call a constitutional convention.

The goal of the convention would be to change — or completely rewrite — one of the country’s founding documents. Supporters aim to limit the scale and scope of the federal government, but critics worry that would lead to a radical change in the country.

One of those critics is former Wisconsin Sen. Russ Feingold. He’s president of the American Constitution Society, and author of a book on the topic. He is set to lead a lecture titled "Amending the Constitution: Twin Jeopardies," on Thursday at the inaugural Constitution Day Lecture at the Center for Constitutional Design at Arizona State University's Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

The Show spoke with Feingold about whether there are still a lot of conversations among people who’d like to amend the Constitution.
