The state Office of Economic Opportunity is projecting that Arizona will add about 477,968 jobs over the next 10 years.

The new employment projection report claims that it will outpace the national rate through 2032.

That is a fall from the 2020-2030 projection, which projected a jump of 721,689 during that period.

"We’re projecting that total Arizona Employment is going to be growing 1.4% annually, or 14.4% total over the projected period," said Doug Walls, the labor market information director with the department.

The projection was made under the assumption that no economic or political disruptions occur during the period and that Arizona’s population growth will be among the highest in the nation.
