Former President Donald Trump is endorsing a current state senator running for office in Mohave County following the senator’s announcement that he can prove Trump’s 2020 reelection loss was rigged

Sen. Sonny Borrelli (R-Lake Havasu City) is running for a spot on the Mohave County Board of Supervisors

On Wednesday, he said there was new information about a cybersecurity breach in 2020 and 2022. He called it “probably” a crime, although it’s not been shown that anyone tampered with the election.

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said it received Borrelli’s complaint. Trump endorsed him on Thursday and wrote that Borrelli “has been on the front line of fighting against corrupt elections since day one.”

In the 2020 and 2022 elections, Trump endorsed several national candidates and a fair amount of statewide candidates, but only a handful of local city or county ones.
