Toddler found malnourished, dehydrated in Mesa home

A 2-year-old Mesa girl has died after police say she was found malnourished and dehydrated in her home in more than 100-degree temperatures.
The girl's 1-year-old brother, who was also in the home at the time, was hospitalized and will be placed by Child Protective Services after his release.
Authorities say the mother, whose name has not been released, called 911 because her daughter was unconscious. She may now face charges.
That will depend on the medical examiner's report.
