Valley's population still growing, but not as quickly

The Valley's population is still growing. KJZZ's Al Macias reports growth isn't as fast as it once was, but it's picking up.
The latest U.S. Census estimate, released Thursday, says there are about 135,000 more people in the Valley than there were following the 2010 Census. In the early 2000s the metro area was growing by 100,000 people a year.
That rate of growth slowed down dramatically during the recession but it's starting to pick up. The rate increased each of the two years covered in the survey from mid-2010 to mid-2012.
Other metro areas around the state also showed growth. Tucson grew by 12,000 people, Yuma grew by 5,000 and Flagstaff grew by almost 2,000 people.
