Cross country runners from Northern Arizona University became national champions this weekend. It’s the first time the school has clinched an NCAA title in any sport.
The Saturday victory in Terre Haute, Indiana, was quite a send-off for NAU director of cross country Eric Heins, who’s leaving the team after a decade.
Heins called the win “an unbelievable feeling.”
