Election Day was a mixed bag for Arizona Democrats. Members of Congress were re-elected, some gains were made in the Legislature, and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was defeated.

But Republicans maintained their legislative majorities, and Donald Trump carried the state.
