Data Breach Hits Four UPS Stores In Arizona
UPS Store customers at a handful of Arizona locations may have had their personal information compromised by a computer virus.
Four stores in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Goodyear and Tucson were among 51 UPS Store locations nationwide whose computers were hit by malware. The virus could have exposed customer credit and debit card numbers as well as their postal and email addresses from purchases between January 20 and August 11. The United States government alerted retailers to the malware at the end of July.
A spokeswoman said UPS hasn’t heard about any cases of fraud due to the potentially compromised personal information. The company plans to offer credit monitoring and identity protection services to customers whose information may have been exposed.
