Law Professor Weighs In On Trump, Supreme Court Impact

President-elect Trump has started to engage in formal meetings with the people competing to become his first Supreme Court Justice nominee.

The nine-justice court has been one jurist shy since the death of Antonin Scalia in February 2016.

President Barack Obama nominated Judge Merrick Garland to succeed Scalia, but Senate Republicans refused to act on the nomination.

To figure out what direction Trump may be leaning and the short-term impact on the high court, we spoke with Albany Law School Professor Vincent Bonventre.
