Arizona Department Of Child Safety Administration On Par With Agencies Nationwide

Three years after its creation, state auditors gave its approval on the Department of Child Safety’s administrative staff.

A special report released by the Auditor General, shows the agency investigating child abuse and neglect has done a reasonable job in comparison to similar agencies around the nation.

It found 16 percent of the DCS total staff is devoted to administration, including management and support.

The department was created in 2014 after it was revealed that thousands of cases of child abuse and neglect were not investigated.
