Arizona voters wanting to ask U.S. Senator Jeff Flake questions face to face will get their chance.

In a scheduled town hall in Mesa, Flake could face a rough crowd with tensions mounting between the junior U.S. Senator and his critics. For months, activists have demanded congressional lawmakers meet with their local communities.

On Monday, Flake tweeted his plan to meet with constituents at the Mesa Convention Center at 7:00 Thursday night.

In an attempt to control the discourse he listed a Town Hall Code of Ethics on his web page. It bans attendees from bringing banners, signs or anything that could create a disturbance, and warns that anyone who ignores the directions will be removed.

Flake is targeted as one of the two most vulnerable Republican U.S. Senators running as an incumbent in the 2018 election.

Lake Havasu Republican and former state Senator Kelli Ward and Phoenix attorney and Democrat Deedra Abboud have officially announced they will challenge Flake for his seat. Other possible opponents include Republican State Treasurer Jeff DeWitt and Democratic U.S. Representative Kyrsten Sinema.
