Gov. Doug Ducey is expected to sign the 2018 state budget Monday.

Lawmakers passed the $9.8 billion plan on Friday without bi-partisan support.

No Democrats voted for the budget, taking issue with its 2 percent pay raise over the next two years for public school teachers. That increase was half the amount Democrats demanded for their support.

They also took issue with the budgets $1 billion bond to fund construction at Arizona’s three state universities.

Lawmakers will spend these last few days of the legislative session rallying support for bills that languished in committees earlier this year. Three tax-credit bills left out of the budget are among those expected to be revived.

House Speaker J.D. Mesnard said he's expecting adjournment Wednesday, possibly by Tuesday.
