The Supreme Court is expected to issue the first of several rulings regarding a half-dozen immigration cases this week.

Those judgements could offer insight on how the justices will interpret President Donald Trump’s administrative policies on immigration, especially increased deportations occurring here in Arizona and other border states.

Their opinion may also indicate how the United States will stand on the President’s ban of six majority Muslim countries.

Historically, the Supreme Court gives wide latitude to White House administrations on how they execute immigration policy.

However, that policy has always adhered to constitutional law. It leaves interpreting the deportation of undocumented immigrants wide open, but grants very narrow latitude on policies targeting religious groups, such as Muslims seeking entry to the U.S.
