Study Digs Deep Into How Gender Stereotypes Are Reinforced

Gender stereotypes are still a part of our everyday lives, and those deeply affect girls and boys across the globe.

And while they begin at an extremely early age, their deep and extended impact truly reveals itself at puberty.

The Global Early Adolescent Study dug deeply into gender stereotypes and found that they’re reinforced by a series of people in our lives and broader factors.

Dr. Robert Blum is director of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute. He led the study, which was conducted in cooperation with the World Health Organization. And Dr. Blum is with me.
