It’s a regular segment where we’ll talk about the big issues facing the state and the region — featured in the newspaper’s Viewpoints section.
Over the weekend, Arizona law enforcement agencies — including the Department of Public Safety and the Phoenix Police Department — held a job fair in the attempt to recruit new officers. And a stronger, more concerted effort to recruit people of color is underway.
With me to talk about that and some of the possibilities is Phil Boas, director of the Republic’s Editorial Department.
