The effects of climate change are already considered to be far-reaching, with unique weather patterns probably being the most obvious. But one scientist said it’s also leading to problems in the food we grow.

Mathematical biologist Irakli Loladze said the atmosphere is literally changing the food we eat — reducing the nutrients in many of them.

Loladze received his Ph.D. at Arizona State University and is now an associate professor at Bryan College of Health Sciences in Nebraska.
