Fears Of Vandalism At National Parks Grow As Government Shutdown Continues

The federal government shutdown is in its 13th day, and thousands of workers remain out of work or on furlough. The National Parks system is also deeply affected, with a large percentage of them currently closed.

Arizona is among other states that are using their own funds to keep some of the parks open to visitors. But without a full complement of rangers and employees on hand, there is a growing concern about vandalism and garbage at the parks.

To talk about that, The Show reached out to Kevin Dahl, Arizona senior program manager for the National Parks Conservation Association.
