Proposed Arizona Ban On Cellphone Use While Driving Faces An Uphill Battle

The Arizona Senate has approved a ban on texting-while-driving. It now faces an uphill battle in the House, where lawmakers have been resistant to statewide action.

Meanwhile, Chief Justice Scott Bales, the Arizona Supreme Court’s only judge appointed by a Democrat, will retire on July 31.

Also, Arizona senators have approved a bill to possibly change the line of succession to the Governor’s Office.
