Running for Senate

January 18, 2012

Former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmona is running for the open U.S. Senate seat this year. Carmona hopes to solve problems so that the government serves the people.

Carmona thinks that foreign policy needs to evolve into more contemporary terms to create stability. He says it is the responsibility of the government to care for veterans, and that we owe them “whatever they need to make their lives as whole as possible for the rest of their lives.” He also believes the government should create incentives so small businesses and the middle class can thrive. Carmona thinks elected officials in congress are not solving America’s problems, and he wants to fix that.
