KJZZ EnewsJazz News from Blaise Lantana
Blaise in the control room playing guitarThe Valley is jumpin’ with jazz this February, especially with the Arizona Music Fest in town -- and we’ll be here to bring you the latest news and interviews with leading performers.

The Arizona Music Fest features plenty of jazz this year, including the Brubeck Brothers, who will be stopping by the studios on Feb. 21 to chat with us about their latest performances and, of course, their dad, Dave.

Piano fans are going to have a tough choice on Fri., Feb 17. Tamir Hendleman is performing at the Arizona Music Fest and Benny Green will be at the Tempe Center for the Arts.  While you can’t attend both performances, you can listen to me interview both pianists on Feb. 16.

Vocal trio, the Manhattan Dolls bring the spirit of the Andrews Sisters to several shows in Arizona, Prescott, Peoria and Tucson  around Valentine's Day and I'll be talking with them about that on Feb. 9.

Arizona jazz diva Margo Reed has a new CD release produced by her friend and music director Armand Boatman. They’re coming into the studios this month to talk about their new release and the music they’ve made through the years. I’ll keep you posted on the date.
