Since the middle of April, protesters have taken to the Capitol demanding that Arizona reopen businesses even as the fight against COVID-19 continues.

On April 20, the demonstrators carried their signs and chanted in defiance in the Executive Tower, which houses the governor’s office. Dozens of people crowded into the tower’s lobby, violating social distancing guidelines to make their point.

The Show spoke with Jerod MacDonald-Evoy, a reporter from The Arizona Mirror, to gain more insight on what the protesters want from the governor.
