St. Mary’s Food Bank is shifting its distribution hours to earlier in the day as temperatures hit triple digits.

To keep volunteers from the oppressive heat and to make customers waiting in cars more comfortable, distribution hours will now run from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the food bank’s Knight center in west Phoenix near 31st Avenue and Thomas Road.

The food bank was forced to move its distribution system outdoors to comply with social distancing.
