In Pima County, this election saw a tightly contested race between current Sheriff Mark Napier and Democratic challenger Chris Nanos.

Nanos has been holding a slight lead over Napier since election night — but like many other apparent losers in this year’s elections, the Republican incumbent initially refused to concede until every vote is counted.

This is also not the first time Napier and Nanos have faced off on the ballot. The Show spoke with Tucson Weekly editor Jim Nintzel about it.

UPDATE: On Monday afternoon, Napier released a statement conceding the race.
