The annual enrollment period for health-care coverage under the Affordable Care Act ends Tuesday. Many Arizonans who are not enrolled for coverage under the ACA, also known as “Obamacare,” are in fact eligible.

Allen Gjersvig is the director of outreach and enrollment services for the Arizona Alliance for Community Health Centers. He says there are almost half a million Arizonans who qualify for coverage but are not enrolled.

“We estimate that there is somewhere around 485,000 people in Arizona that are uninsured, that would either qualify for access, and they've just never enrolled, or they would get very generous financial assistance in the marketplace," Gjersvig said.

Those who are still interested in enrolling can sign up at healthcare.gov.
