Maricopa County Library District has announced full browsing access at all of the 18 county libraries beginning Monday. Library officials had previously curated a smaller collection for community members.

Library Deputy Director Erin MacFarlane says opening up full access to the library’s resources will benefit parents and children the most.

"When I was a child, I liked to go into the library and just look through all the books, it was like a treasure trove. And for our new readers and our parents that are reading books to their young children, it's such a great opportunity for them to come in and discover all the great titles we have available," said MacFarlane.

Some aspects of service will carry over from previous reopening stages, including contactless curbside pickup and the laptop and Wi-Fi hotspot program.

Maricopa County Library District joins Phoenix and Glendale in opening up libraries for full access for the first time since last March.
