Attorneys are attempting to reveal the identity of a federal employee who wants to challenge President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

A lawyer says one of the plaintiffs requesting to be identified only as John Doe through the proceedings has no threat of harassment by being identified.

Lawyer Joseph DeMott says it’s in the public’s interest to disclose his identity because trials are public events.

The lawsuit says the man suing does not qualify for religious exemptions, and his medical request will likely be denied.

The lawsuit says the man could face termination from his job, or suffer violations of his constitutional rights. Doe cited the comment from Biden stating his patience was wearing thin with people who refuse to get vaccinated.

But DeMott says that was political commentary and can’t be viewed as intent to harm.
