Born and raised in small mining town in Siberia, a place where professional journalism opportunities are slim, Regina Revazova moved to Russia’s Caucasus to study journalism at the age of 17. She worked as a print reporter from the region, writing for BBC and several other media outlets on corruption, human rights violations and ethnic conflicts in the North Caucasus.

Revazova moved to the United States and in 2013 she completed her Masters in Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she focused on visual and audio storytelling. After graduation she interned with NPR’s nationally syndicated talk show Tell Me More in Washington, D.C. and upon completion stayed at the headquarters, continuing to produce radio segments for Weekend Edition.

She then moved to Nevada Public Radio in Las Vegas, covering the state and surrounding regions and handling all technical aspects of the daily show, including live board operation, audio mixing and show planning.

Revazova joined KJZZ in 2015 as a producer for The Show, where her goal is to bring new voices and fresh ideas to the table.
