Arizona Gov. Hobbs has given Arizona agencies and their workers 30 days to delete the app TikTok from devices that can access state systems, and she’s set a six-month deadline for state officials to block access to the social media platform on all state-owned and leased technology.

Arizona’s public universities recently banned TikTok on school-owned devices to comply with a presidential order.

Then, the Attorney General Kris Mayes banned the app on devices owned by her office over data security.

Now, Gov. Hobbs has signed an executive order aimed at reducing cybersecurity risks tied to TikTok.

Hobbs has told state workers to delete TikTok from agency devices, leased tech and any personal gadgets that can access state systems, such as email.

Her order also directs state agencies to start submitting yearly reports which identify other apps that can pose cyber threats for possible prohibition.
