Phoenix weather will become even hotter coming out of the weekend.

The National Weather Service forecasts high temperatures in the upper 90s on Monday and possibly reaching 100 degrees for the first time this year by Tuesday.

"For the next few days, it will be completely dry. We do have a system moving in for the latter half of next week. Right now, there are some very small rain chances," said Ryan Worley, National Weather Service meteorologist in Phoenix.

The average day to hit 100 degrees usually occurs near May 11, according to records dating back to 1896.

In Flagstaff, temperatures are expected to be warm at the start of this week as well with a cooling trend starting Thursday.
