In April, Gov. Katie Hobbs surpassed the record for the most vetoes in a single session which was previously held by the last Arizona Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano.

And last week, Hobbs crossed the 100 mark.

Long-time Republican Rep. David Livingston hopes his caucus can work more closely with Hobbs in future legislative sessions, now that this one is effectively over.

“The new chief of staff, (Chad) Campbell, I’ve had more interaction with him in the last two weeks than I did with her former chief of staff in five months. So, that is a good sign,” Livingston told reporters on Tuesday.

Campbell, a former Democratic state lawmaker, replaced Allie Bones after she resigned in May.

Lawmakers aren’t expected to formally wrap the current legislative session until August.
